❓ How do I schedule a class or join a meeting?
Sign up for a free host account, and from the Workspace dashboard click "+ Schedule a Class" or "Start Free Meeting". Once a meeting room code is generated, copy the Direct Join Invite link and share it with your students. They can click the link or paste the room code on the landing page to enter immediately.
❓ My video call isn't loading or displays an error. What should I do?
Live by AM integrates smart auto-failover WebRTC servers. If a server goes offline or becomes overloaded, the host's client will automatically cycle to a backup server within 30 seconds, bringing all participants along. If you are the host, you can also manually switch servers instantly using the server dropdown in the top bar.
❓ How do recording controls work?
Only the room host can initiate a direct server-side recording by default. If the host wants to grant recording privileges to all active participants, they can toggle the key icon (🔑) inside the sidebar control panel. When turned OFF, recording access is immediately removed for everyone else.
📚 Quick-Start Step-by-Step Guides
Open the meeting room link. Enable mic & camera access in the browser. Share your screen by clicking the screen share button in Jitsi toolbar.
Open the whiteboard tab on the right sidebar. Any drawing strokes you make are instantly synchronized to all active students in the call.
Students do not need to sign up to join. They just paste the meeting code in the Lobby direct join box to connect.
